We are taking extra steps to ensure quality and safety by disinfecting all items before shipping out and using contact-less pickups with our carriers. Please note shipping carriers are experiencing delays beyond our control. Jar candles (excluding wholesale) will not be shipped in their decorative box as they cannot be easily sanitized.
We use 100% pure soy wax grown in the U.S. We use an mixture of Essential oils and perfume grade fragrances. Our fragrance oils are Phthalate and Paraben free and body safe. We use cotton wicks with recycled paper filaments for a clean lead free burn and our modern screen printed jars can be reused for drinking glasses, storage or as small planters.
PROPER CANDLE CARE
Always place your candle on a level, fire resistant surface and away from windows or drafts. Do not leave unattended. Candles should burn for 3-4 hours with each use. If a candle is extinguished before the wax pool melts to all edges of the container it will tunnel. To ensure maximum burn time we recommend trimming your wick to ¼” with a wick trimmer or nail clippers before each use when the wax and wick are firm, and letting the candle create a full melt pool with each use. Jars and tins will become very hot during the burn period, please avoid injury by waiting until the candle has been extinguished and cooled before handling.
To extinguish, use a candle snuffer or gently pinch the wick between damp finger tips. Avoid blowing the wick out as you may accidentally blow hot wax onto yourself or another surface. Do not try to extinguish or contain smoke using the metal lid, doing so will cause your candle wax to crater and your candle may not burn properly the next time, or will produce weaker fragrance output.
Some wax may cling to the sides or along the bottom of the jar after your candle burns down, that is ok. To reuse your jar you can fill it with boiling water to melt any leftover wax and let sit until the wax solidifies on the surface and can be disposed of. Wipe your jar out with isopropyl alcohol and a paper towel (vegetable wax will easily be broken down by alcohol) to remove any final residue. Jars are dishwasher safe.

RETURN POLICY AND SHIPPING
Our current lead time is 3-5 business days for production and 2-3 days for priority shipping to reach you. We package everything with care, but if something arrives damaged please reach out to us at: firstname.lastname@example.org. To process a damage claim we must receive photos of the damaged item/s, the packaging it was shipped in and your order number so we can quickly work to replace it.
Free shipping options will be shipped via the least expensive carrier option. If you need expedited shipping please choose priority/3day/express. Lead times are separate from shipping time.
Unused candles may be returned within 14 days of purchase. Shipping is non-refundable and we are not responsible for return shipping costs, including exchanges. Choosing a scent online can be tricky, we get it! If you’d like to sample the scents we offer before committing, we suggest purchasing our sample tealights or sample perfumes. **We are unable to accept returns on fragrance rollers for sanitary reasons.
Our subscription is a monthly candle formulated to your specific scent preferences. We feel confident you’ll love the exclusive scent we’ve made for you but if not that’s ok! You can exchange for a candle in our current line at any time or we offer one remake of the candle during the life of the subscription. Remakes and exchanges will incur a shipping fee.
To change or cancel a subscription please log in and go to “manage subscriptions” if you’re having trouble logging in or canceling you can email us at shop @ particlegoods.com. You may cancel the subscription after two months, but must cancel at least 24 hrs before your billing date to avoid further charges.
