CANDLES FOR YOUR SUMMONING CIRCLE
Sometimes we just need a goal, or a save, or a spark...some Sounders fans have taken to posting virtual candles, but some of your favorite Sounders players have created REAL candles, and all for an incredible cause!
The summoning collection was created in collaboration with Stefan Frei, Raul Ruidiaz, Jordan Morris, and Cristian Roldan. Each player selected a unique scent, and every candle was hand-poured by Jordan and Cristian in our Ballard studio alongside childhood cancer survivor, Jane O'Connell.
All proceeds go to the Kick Childhood Cancer Guild at Seattle Children's Hospital, dedicated to accelerating immunotherapy research for childhood cancer.
Christine O'Connell is on a mission to raise awareness and money for cancer research and financial relief for families experiencing cancer. For many families like hers, the joy of defeating cancer comes at the high price of debilitating debt. A price no child should have to pay.
As of this week, Jane is 5 years cancer free, which means she's no longer considered in remission, but CURED. We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with the O'Connells and join the fight for families like theirs. CLEAN SLATE
Scent: Moon
This scent was curated by Sounders Goalkeeper Stefan Frei, who saves in more ways than one, by routinely keeping opposing goals away from the net and through his philanthropic work. Stefan is a talented painter and artist off the field who is always looking to better his community
GOLAZO
Scent: Lumen
This scent was curated by Sounders Striker Raul Ruidiaz, who has shown time and again that he's not afraid of any opponent. Raul is an all-star player for more reasons than one, and his tenacity and generosity on and off the field are unmatched.
NEVER QUIT
Scent: Storm
Jordan, or JMO, as he is known to many, hand selected and poured this scent. His precision and determination in candlemaking was so on par with how he shows up in the game. Jordan has weathered the storm of multiple injuries and still refuses to give up. He's a versatile all-star player always looking for a challenge. Outside of soccer, Jordan is an activist and educator for kids with type 1 diabetes through the Jordan Morris Foundation.
